DNB50 3rd Annual
LifeMap CoLIVEwork
Retreat

What Is A CoLIVEwork? It’s the perfect way to find community with other Digital Nomads of shared interests and intentions… to live, work, and play while they travel!

CoLIVEworks are typically hosted for a small number of digital entrepreneurs and remote workers in large homes, boutique hotels, or purpose-built facilities providing accommodations, shared common areas, and great WiFi, of course!

DNB50 CoLIVEworks are specifically designed to meet the lifestyle preferences, needs, and interests of Digital Nomads aged mid-40s+.

CoLIVEworks also include sharing cultural events, outings, socials, and dinners with the participants.

EXPERIENCES

The CoLIVEwork Retreat Includes Three Group Tours | In addition to these scheduled events, as with typical DN CoLiving communities, there is also the opportunity for participants to spark ad hoc group dinners, happy hour socials, and local explorations throughout the week!

MEDELLÍN EL CENTRO TOUR | We’ll take a walking tour through the streets of downtown Medellín‘s historic district with a learned guide sharing the history and folklore, both documented and personal, of this fascinating and resilient city.

Our guide will introduce you to the city’s past, culture, and hidden gems. Sites will include major in-city landmarks, the Botero sculpture park, and open air markets

TASTE MEDELLÍN | You‘ll eat like the locals as we graze through and explore Laureles; considered the “Coolest Neighborhood On The PlanetTimeOut Magazine, 2023.

Enjoy 10 different Colombian snacks, dishes & drinks, including empanada, buñuelo, pandebono, mango biche, carimañola, bocadillo, and fresh fruit juice.

Our guide will share insight into the cultural context, history, and traditions around each specialty, in addition to interesting facts about the Laureles neighborhood.

COMUNA 13 HISTORY + GRAFFITI CULTURE | See and learn about the incredible Medellín district Comuna 13. Once considered the most dangerous neighborhood in the most perilous city in the world, Comuna 13 has been transformed into a vibrant community of life and color that also offers excellent vast views of the city.

You’ll learn how street art and hip-hop music were instrumental in the recovery of this district, bringing this neighborhood to life. Our guide will also share the best-kept secrets of this resilient community. If you’re feeling creative, try your hand at color-spraying your own graffiti tag with the supplies provided by our guide.
This tour benefits the Insiders Foundation. It is a non-profit organization that provides social and cultural programs to the youth of Comuna 13.  NOTE | There is a challenging hill to walk during this tour.

YOUR HOME IN MEDELLÍN

DNB50 CoLIVEwork TOWNHOUSE | Located in the Manila neighborhood of the El Poblado district of Medellín.

Reserved exclusively for our CoLIVEwork community, we’ll have a spacious 3-floor apartment with a rooftop terrace.

This is a family-operated guesthouse adapted to specialize in co-living accommodations for ‘grown’ professionals, i.e., not a hostel, no dorms or shared bathrooms. YAH!

  • All bedrooms are single-occupancy with ensuite bathrooms
  • Full breakfast daily served on our private roof terrace
  • Clean and bright accommodations
  • Housekeeping every 3rd day
  • 2 Lounges
  • 2 Kitchens
  • High-Speed Internet

MANILA NEIGHBORHOOD was for many years an undiscovered treasure located in the city’s upscale El Poblado district. Very walkable with shady, tree-lined streets, it’s one of El Poblado’s smallest neighborhoods.

Manila is home to the original Calle de la Buena Mesa (‘street of good food’). Less than a 5-minute walk from our townhouse, you’ll find a plethora of small cafés and restaurants, offering Spanish, Mexican, Italian, Seafood, Peruvian, German, Argentine, and –of course– Colombian food. As well as a couple of vegan/vegetarian restos, even one dedicated to avocados!

The location of Manila is excellent. Nestled between two thoroughfares, there is easy access to the rest of the city. It’s only an 8-minute walk to the Poblado Metro station and a 10-minute walk to Zona Rosa, Medellín’s bustling premier restaurant, shopping, and nightlife district.

…AND CONTINUES AFTER YOU LEAVE!

You’ll stay connected after the LifeMap CoLIVEwork using the WhatsApp text stream to chat with your new cohorts.

MEET YOUR HOST FACILITATOR

HeyHey, I’m Siobhan! I bring a passionate and playful approach to helping others launch their Digital Nomad journey. I’m so excited to be hosting our 3rd Annual DNB50 CoLIVEwork!

After years of tourist travel, and with my daughter graduating from college, 4 years ago I sold off 30 years of my possessions and left Dallas TX with a one-way ticket to Ecuador to start my life as a midlife HomeFree Digital Nomad.

I became the Spark Originator of the Digital Nomads Beyond 50 Network (DNB50) and its Facebook group when my search for community with other midlife DNs turned up empty, and… my application to join a CoLiveCoWork was graciously rejected due to my Beyond 50 age.

I’ve traveled 56 countries to-date and since 2018 travel/worked in 33 of them. I’m absolutely LOVING it and I want to help others plan to successfully launch this life and make the transition with intention!

With the DNB50 LifeMap Workshop, I bring 15 years of experience in corporate learning, executive development, and career coaching combined with my love of new destinations and my travel/work experience.

I truly LIVED the 4 Essential Readiness Elements of this workshop! It’s based on my own personal experience, as well as input from and observation of other successful DNs. Let’s get YOUR Digital Nomad life launched now!

BACKGROUND I’m originally from Belize, Central America. I grew up traveling between there, Brooklyn NY, and a dairy farm near Mansfield PA. I also lived in London for 2 years as an adult; which instilled my preference for slow-travel.

June 2021, I organized and hosted the DNB50 3-day virtual summit with 28 speakers, 32 topics, and 278 participants.

June 2022 DNB50 held its first CoLIVEwork in Medellín, Colombia. The 2nd was held 2023 in Lisbon Portugal. We return to Colombia in 2024 to make Medellín the home location for the annual LifeMap CoLIVEworks.

I have organized and hosted all types of social and business travel events my entire life; from college ski trips, Belize sail/SCUBA liveaboards, a destination wedding, and several years of developing and facilitating corporate learning retreats for a Fortune 100 company.

I’m also the founder of Urban MosaiX, a non-profit social organization focused on increasing diversity appreciation, not just acceptance. Based in Dallas TX, I hosted 2+ events per month over 9 years as the group grew to more than 1300 members.
